Supercenter Coupon Policies
Here are the coupon policies for Target and Walmart. I would HIGHLY recommend printing these out and keeping them with you- most of the problems I have with coupons have been at supercenters. Be armed!
Target
1. Go here to print the coupon policy.
2. Target does NOT double.
3. Target does NOT accept competitor coupons.
4. Target does stack coupons- they will accept one Target coupon and one manufacturer coupon together on one item.
5. Target will (usually) NOT apply overage, but they CAN (and should) adjust the coupon value down to the price of the item.
6. Target DOES accept internet coupons, but they reserve the right to reject them if they do not scan or are otherwise questionable, due to rampant coupon fraud.
Price-Matching Policy:
1. You must have a valid competitor ad, with current sale dates.
2. Must be for exact same item.
3. You can bring an item back within 7 days of purchase price if a competitor ad price is lower, and Target will refund the difference.
4. You can use manufacturer coupons on price-matched items. They will match the price and then take off the coupon value.
5. When using Target coupons on price-matched items, they will take off the Target coupon FIRST. If the competitor price is still lower, they will match the competitor price.
6. When using both a Target coupon and a manufacturer coupon, they will first take off the Target coupon, then price-match the competitor price, and then take off the manufacturer coupon.
Walmart
1. Print the coupon policy here.
2. Walmart does NOT double.
3. Walmart does NOT accept competitor coupons.
4. Walmart DOES accept internet coupons, but NOT for free items. They reserve the right to reject internet coupons that do not scan due to rampant coupon fraud.
5. Walmart limits the number of coupons you use to 40- after that, you need CSM approval.
Price-matching Policy:
1. You must show a valid, current competitor ad.
2. Must be for same exact item.
3. They WILL match store card sales prices (ie Plus Cards or Advantage card prices)
4. They do NOT honor BOGO sales. They only honor amount-off sales.
5. They will NOT honor online sale prices. They will only honor printed sales ads.
6. The competitor must be in the same area- this is up to each individual store's discretion.
