Rite Aid Coupon Policy and Tips

Rite Aid has a lot of great things going for it- they send out awesome coupons, they have the Video Values program, they have a guaranteed “Prescription in 15 Minutes or Less” policy, and they often offer giftcards for transferring prescriptions. On top of all that, they have a great coupon policy and rewards program (AND they let you return opened makeup if you decide you hate how it looks on you! I LOVE that!). Here is Rite Aid’s coupon policy. You can get the actual coupon policy here. It is always a good idea to have a copy of the policy with you while you shop.

  1. Rite Aid does NOT double coupons.
  2. Rite Aid does NOT accept competitor coupons.
  3. Rite Aid DOES stack store coupons and ManQs on one item. They only accept ONE ManQ per item, unless it is a ManQ from their circular- in that case, you can stack both.
  4. Rite Aid DOES accept printable coupons, but they reserve the right to reject them if they do not scan at the register. The coupon value cannot exceed $5, nor can it exceed the price of the item.
  5. If an item is BOGO, you can only use 1 coupon on the pair of items- it comes off of the not-free item. You CANNOT use a BOGO coupon on a BOGO sale to get both items for free.
  6. Rite Aid will not provide overage.
  7. Rite Aid has great open-ended coupons (for example, $5/$25 purchase coupons). The total purchase is BEFORE coupons are taken off, which really lowers your OOP expense! You can only use one per transaction, but you can do multiple transactions if you have more than one open-ended coupon- so for this reason, it sometimes is a good idea to split up your transactions
  8. You can watch Video Values to earn great stackable store coupons!
  9. You can also get a Wellness Card to take advantage of special savings and deals.

Tips

Rite Aid is pretty simple to navigate. Since you do not have to do all of the work of making scenarios and “rolling” rewards, it is a great place to get comfortable with the drugstoring concept. Just remember to sign up for the programs, watch the videos, and always be prepared with a list of your items and have your coupons ready. Their great policies make it easy to save a lot of money on items you need. If they do not have your items in stock, ask for a raincheck. And, as always, be polite and considerate of everyone around you, customers and salespeople alike.
