Swagbucks Tip: Swag Codes! 12/07/2010
I don't know why I haven't written a post about this yet! If you follow Fab Steals and Deals on Facebook you will often see me post Swag Code Alerts. If you are new to Swagbucks, you are probably a little bewildered by this! Here's the scoop: -Every so often (usually once a day) "The Swag Guy" will release a special code. That code is available for a limited time and is worth a certain amount of Swagbucks. -The ways to find these codes vary. -Via the toolbar (If you will look at your toolbar, you will see a red envelope there that says From TSG. If there is a message- which usually contains a Swag Code, you will see a number beside it, and you will know to check it. -Via the blog. Swagbucks keeps up a blog, and occasionally will post a code near the end of a post. You can get to the blog with your toolbar (where it says SB News), through the widget on my Swagbucks info page (click Blog), or on the Swagbucks page itself (on the left, scroll down until you see a link for the blog). -Via a Swag Hunt. You will have to follow a series of clues to find a swag code that is hidden somewhere, usually in the Swag Store or in an SBTV Video. - A swag code will be a series of upper-and-lowercase letters and number all strung together KIndoFliKEthIs. You will copy that code, making sure that there are no spaces at the beginning or the end, and paste it onto your Swagbucks dashboard- on the right side of your Swagbucks page, where it says Enter Your Swag Code. If you have a code and it won't go through, it is either because it has expired or because you have added a space at the end. Try backspacing or clicking next to the last letter in the code and hitting Delete, and then Gimme. How do you know when there is a Swag Code? -Follow me on Facebook! When I spot a code, I will let you know! -Check the toolbar (see above). -Follow Swagbucks on FB, and check the page periodically. When you see a bunch of people posting "Thanks TSG!", you will know that there is a Swag Code somewhere. (Plus Swagbucks often gives clues to the code's location on their FB page!) -Use a Swagbucks widget (called a Swidget). I have one on my FB page under the My Stuff tab, one on the right side of my main blog page (which is, admittedly, tiny), and a large one on my Swagbucks Info page. Click SC and then Check for a Code to see if one is available. One more thing about swag codes: You can NEVER post a code anywhere- not on the SB page, not on my page, not ANYWHERE. Doing so can get your account deleted, and you don't want that to happen, especially if you are close to earning a reward! Hints are okay, but posting the codes never is. Want to earn more Swagbucks? Check out all of my guides to find out how! Not doing Swagbucks yet? You are missing out on a great way to save money, just by using the internet (and if you are reading my blog, you are obviously using the internet! ;) ). I have paid for $150 of our Christmas- just since October- using giftcards I earned through Swagbucks (and no, I am not exaggerating!). It is completely free to join and use. Find out more info here.
