If you are a reader of our Faithful Fridays segment, I just want to let you know that I have moved it. Well, sort of. Instead of posting there sporadically, I created a new blog specifically for faith-based posts. It is called This Mom's Heart and it is a step I have been thinking about taking for a while- and finally made the step at the beginning of August. The blog is geared towards moms and women, and serves to encourage and minister to others. The posts are a mixture of what I am reading, what I am thinking, and insights from being a mom and wife myself.  I am really excited about being able to share my heart with you guys in a way that I can't really do here. I started FS&D as a ministry, and am committed to continuing that ministry (ie coupon education and support and helping you save money for your family), but This Mom's Heart is a new forum for more heart-and-faith-based writing. If you have a bunch of gently worn children's clothes hanging around your class, it's not too late to sign  up as a seller for the Hide and Seek Day Camp Consignment Sale in Canton (GA)! This sale starts this Friday, so your inventory must be turned in by Thursday (but it's all online- they are using a barcode system this year!). 

You can sell:
-Gently-worn baby, children, junior's and maternity wear that is free from stain, holes, or missing buttons
-Toys with all pieces and batteries
-Books, movies, etc (in good condition)

As a seller, you get 70% of the profit from your items (the other 30% supports the Hide and Seek ministry, which provides Christian-based summer adventure camps for kids).

If you have taken one of my classes or been a follower for a while, you know how I feel about All You magazine- if you are a serious couponer, this is a magazine you shouldn't be without. Those of you who are couponing and who have managed to get your stockpile built up can experience one of my favorite community uses: Stamp Out Hunger! Fill up a bag or two on nonperishable and nonbreakable food items and leave them by your mailbox for your mail carrier to pick up. This food then gets distributed in your community to people who need it. The thing I love most about couponing is that it allows me to give back to other people in my community, but doesn't cost me any extra to do. I picked up lots of free pasta at Kroger this week that will be perfect to donate- you can also do canned items, cereal, rice, and so much more. It's a great way to be a good steward of your resources and to use your couponing skills to bless others!
